Why do I have to turn my TV on and off once before I get any signal?

I have a Samsung PN58A550 with a Dish HD DVR box, and we just got it last Sunday. However, whenever I turn the TV on, I get a "Searching for signal" box, which then turns into a "No signal" box. But if I turn the tv off and then on again, it works fine. Can someone please help? I don't know if this is a problem with Dish or the TV or the connections or what...

Call DISH and see what they say. Until then ....Just turn the tv off and then on again since that works.
