Why do I have to write a paper on "Things Fall Apart?"

Why do I have to write a paper on "Things Fall Apart?" I mean, it was good, but I don't want to write a 3 pg college paper on it, due at midnight tonight (summer classes)... Why does my instructer hate me?

"Things Fall Apart" is a great book. It has several important life lessons in it, unlike a lot of books which are mainly full of fluff. Don't complain about a 3 pg paper. I'm a grad student and my papers are never less than 10pgs. long
