Question:

Why do I have wrist pain?

From time to time I get a pain at the lower base of my wrist. It's not bad when that hand is doing nothing, but as soon as i do any sort of gripping action with the hand, the wrist hurts like h**l. When I squeeze into a fist, the harder I squeeze the more it hurts. I am only 24 years old so that seems a little young for any sort of joint issues or arthritis, right?

  1. This does sound like carpal tunnel syndrome or inflammationn of the tendons in the wrist.  There are various treatments for the condition so I would check with your doctor.

  2. Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome.   You can google this yourself, as there are lots of things that cause it, and lots of ways learn to work ergonomically to prevent more nerve damage.  Surgery can be used as a last resort.
