I'm driving a 2001 Mazda Tribute. I discovered over the last week or so that while driving I hear a slow air leak coming from under neath my dash board close to the brake. When I tap the brake or brake completely the sound goes away. But today while driving I started to wonder if it had to do with accelerating which caused it? Does anyone have any suggestions or has this happened to them?

  1. YOUR AIR CIRCULATION IS ACTIVATED AND YOU AIR DERCTIONIS SET ON FLOOR MODE.  PUSH THE BUTTON

WITH A PICTURE OF A CAR THAT HAS AN ARROW IN IT, THIS WILL STOP THE AIR FROM COMING IN

  2. that sound that you hear is a vaccum leak, vaccum hose goes from intake manifold to the brake booster inside engine conpartment

useally cause by brake fluid leaking into it, from the master cylinder

replace both of them and save your alot of hassel

  3. If you have power brakes I would get the power brake booster checked out.

  4. Vacuum leak look under the hood on drivers side>The hose to the boost might be lose> Has it been worked on lately???
