Question:

Why do I hear voices in my head?

Whenever I play the Sims 1 and 2 on the PC, I hear people yelling in my head. I have no idea why. It just seems to get louder and then it stops for a bit, and then it starts up again. After I am done playing the Sims, it just goes away. This doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes. And I can't understand what the people are saying, either. Is there something wrong with me?

  1. sounds ok to me.

  2. you've got to be kidding, right?  You do that the sound effects in Sims games, like all the sims talking, is not in English, but in a made up language called Simlish?

If you're not kidding, go see a psychiatrist or neurologist, because you shouldn't be hearing odd voices that are not sound effects from your game.

  3. Just stop playing the game for a while and see how you feel.

  4. It's not normal, that's for sure. It's worth seeing a therapist to rule out schizophrenia.

  5. How long are you playing the Sims when  this occurs? What do the voices sound like and are they IN your head or coming from outside your head?  do you know it is just in your head or do you turn thinking they are behind or beside you? If it is in your own head, chances are it is your own thoughts and you are not having auditory haalucinations. This is not normal though so you may want to lay off of the SIms game for awhile. If it bothers you - don't play whan you start to hear the voices.  If you were really "crazy" they would not go away when  the game is over ot you would see visual hallucinations as well such as the Sim's character turning and screaming at you. if this is occuring - seek help immediately!
