Why do I keep breaking drivers?

Ok I just recently started golfing and was borrowing a driver from a friend. The first day I was doing good to hit the ball, the second day I hit ok but kept slicing it. I left the club in my truck and accidently bent it. So I decided to buy him a new one. He told me to test it out so I did. After about 10 swings I was doing ok and than I swung and hit the ball and the head went flying. I did NOT the ground. Than I used another driver and the same thing happened. What is going on?

  2. 1. Are you buying name brand clubs?  Callaway has THE BEST warranty program in the industry.  If you are tough on clubs, you should look into buying one, even if it is a used club.

    2. Are you buying your clubs from a big box discounter (Walmart, Sams, etc.)  You get what you pay for with golf clubs, with very few exceptions.

  3. One time and I'd say its a defective club-

Two times and I say stop buying clubs from Walmarts bargain bin

  4. Please take an anger management course. Completion of said course should cure breaking the club over your knee.

  5. I'd say the first problem was carelessness and the second problem was a faulty driver.  I've been playing golf for 40 years and have had only 2 clubs break, both old and both snapping near the clubhead after striking the ball.

Buy your pal a better driver.
