Why do I keep dreaming about different people dying?

Question

I really don't dream that much but my last couple of dreams have been about people I know dying. Earlier in the week I dreamed that either me or someone else strangled my niece to death. The next night I dreamed that my mom died and came back as a ghost and then last night I dreamed that one of my friends was killed by her fiance. It's starting to freak me out and I think subconsciously this has to mean something. So what could it possibly mean?

To dream of death is not necessarily a bad thing.  Death means transition.  Maybe you will have a different outlook towards your family (in a good way).  I strongly feel that it means you will be physically distancing yourself from your friends and family.... like you will be moving away because of school or work (if you haven't already).  And you will miss those people you dreamed of the most.  Also, the fact that your mom came back as a ghost probably means that know matter where you go she will constantly check on you (haunt).  Has she ever said that if anything ever happens to her, she will come back to haunt you?  My mom has said that to me my whole life, and I've had a similar dream!

somebody you know or were close too might have died in your recent past..that's why you are seeing such dreams..such dreams cease once you have fully overcome the incident

Someone close to your (maybe a family member) is pregnant.

You see these people changing.  Death is more about change than an ending.  Is your niece starting someting new?  Is your mom starting a new job, project, attitude.  If she's single is she showing signs of dating again.  That would be scary for awhile.  Maybe you have picked up feelings of stress from your friend and got some idea that things aren't good with her and her fiance and you fear that she will have her heart broken by him.

You see change and maybe change scares you.  Try to roll with it nothing is really is bad as it seems.  Seek balance in your life.  You can't control others but these three people may need your support in the future.

I know these are disturbing dreams, nevertheless keep this as a rule of thumb regarding these types of dreams.  The victim will or has benefited from the perpetrator.  So your niece will gain benefit from you.  Your friend will also get something good from her fiance.  Again, I know the interpretation is one that does not follow from the dream, nevertheless, the meaning of such dreams is that good will actually come from the person doing them harm in the dream.

you are going through some stress and it sounds like you fear for these peoples' well-being. it could be work-related stress causing this, or you could be nervous about a new job or relationship for one of those people, which is completely normal and would cause you to have those types of dreams. don't worry, i really don't think you are having physic visions or anything. that was what i used to think, until i realiozed that everyone around me was ok =]

is it something you read or watched before bedtime? i've never dreamed of someone dying, but i often dream of being killed. which is no fun at all.
