Here is the short rundown:
We met in college, dated 8 years but we were reluctant to marry because her parents didn't like that I wasn't Jewish. I saw this was going no where so I ended it. We did not communicated for 2 years after that until she phoned me one evening from the bathroom of her engagement party, crying. I told her that she should get on with life and leave me alone... I was hurt. A year later she calls to tell me that she'd pregnant and that she needs to see me... She was crying hysterically. I thought it best to see her for her and her babies health. She explained that everyday she thinks it was a mistake for not marrying me and listening to her family. I told her that she would get over it and that everything was going to be fine. We spent 4 hours on a park bench, she in tears with her head on my shoulder. I told her that she can't call me again and I changed my number.
That was over a year ago.
Now I dream about her every night. I know I don't want her back, but why do I dream about her so much. I usually forget the dream when I wake up, but I remember the one from last night.
I dreamed that I was crossing a city street and when I got to the other side, there was a puddle. I stepped into the puddle, i fell into it.. It was deep. She appears on the curb, dressed nicely, looking very happy to see me and I felt embarrassed... I said "don't just stand there, give me a hand", she then helped me out. We then sat on a sidewalk where we talked (don't know what) and smoked a cigarette. Out of no where, we see my MOM walking down the street and she gets up to greet her. She throws her cigarette away (she doesn't smoke in real life) and hugs my mom... I remember being pissed at a nice moment ruined. Anyway, that's when I woke up. All my dreams of her usually has someone interrupting.
Why do I keep dreaming about her?
