Why do I keep getting calls with 11 digits instead of the normal 10?

  1. 1 is probably added in front of the reuglar 10 digits, for example 1-234-567-890. it doesn't mean you are getting calls from a different person


  2. Where are you from? I live in the OC (Orange County, CA) and we have to start dialing a 1 + area code + number.....even if we are in the same area code (714, 949) we still have to dial it. So every phone call we make will be 11 numbers long, even local! It is due to the fact that there are too many phone numbers being used in our area.
