Have been using YMJ and YM Unlimited with no problems - had to restore my system due to virus, and reinstall YM. Since the reinstall, every song I try to play gives the message "license is required..."

  1. I've actually had this problem myself, but it was some time ago. Believe it or not, it turned out to be an issue with Windows Media Player's DRM settings. You may need to update that. I myself just gave up and only got back on Yahoo! Music when I got a new computer.

    Hope that helps!

  2. Maybe you should try other websites that you are allowed to play or download songs. Maybe the one you are trying to do is illegal.

    Try these sites:

    www.esnips.com

    www.mp3-codes.com

  3. Probably due to your system restore.  You have to re-acquire your licenses.  You can do this by deleting the downloaded songs and then re-download or:

Find the song with the license problem, right-click the song name, and highlight Edit > Reacquire license.

Make sure you have WMP 11 installed.  Also look at this:

If you tried submitting a problem report and you got the error about capturing data, it means there is still something wrong with your computer.  And I doubt if your form (e-mail) ever got through.  Please let me know what OS (Windows XP, Vista, ..) you are using and what kind of repair did you do to correct your virus problem, e.g., reformat of hard drive, system repair,  .........  Thanks.

Your system is sick.  Rebuild it from scratch.
