Why do I keep getting razor burn on my legs?

I really hate razor burn but no matter what I always get it. It's been really painful these past couple weeks. I shave every morning.

I use water and body wash and later up really well and I use a new, clean 4 bladed razor to shave. After that I put on aloe vera 100% gel which really calms the burn. and I put on lotion at night.

But I don't want razor burn in the first place.

what am I doing wrong?

please help

  1. you should try using shaving cream and switch ur razor every one-two weeks because dull blades can give you rlly bad razor burn. also scrub your legs with a loofah before you shave.

    good luck hun x*x

  2. Your skin is probably extremely sensitive.  Perhaps your body wash is causing the irritation.  I suggest switching to Skintimate shave gel and purchasing a new razor.  I've always had great results with my Venus.  You could also try shaving every other day to prevent your skin from being raw everyday.  When you're finished shaving, pat dry (instead of rubbing) and apply a good lotion.

  3. You could get Origins Fire Fighter to take the burn out of shaving. It's 16 dollars and I totally love Origins! I trust whatever they make :]

  4. When you get in the shower, don't shave right away.  Let your body get  used to the water.  If you shave right away you probably have "goose bumps" and your are shaving those goose bumps which are really raised, so you are shaving off the top..Let your body get used to the temp of the water.

Wait, do your hair, scrub up, then shave last.  If you have razor burn right now, let it heal for a few days... that will be hard, but you keep shaving over the scabs, the burn... let it heal, then try shaving last.
