Question:

Why do I keep getting the message "this webpage can't be found".?

I am constantly getting this message and it goes on to say some reasons might be that I might not be connected to the internet or that my server might be down etc. However, I am connected and there are no other problems apparent. This happens on both my desk top and my lap top, but not necessarily at the same time. Sometimes it goes on for hours but usually if I keep retrying eventually it will connect. Any one know why and/or what I can do about it?

  7. hmm... do you get this message for all sites ?? or just some particular sites ?? sometimes , some sites are blocked by ISP due to some sort of violation or government don't want you to see that material ( like in china ) ...

so if its the case then i think no one can help you .. to make sure you are connected to internet .. try to PING some network .. for example ... google.com .. to do that .. go to run .. type "cmd" .. it will take u to the DOS prompt .. then type ,                                     " ping www.google.com " ... without quotes ... if you get reply means you are connected to internet ..

if nothing works ... and you are connected to your wifi router, then try to look at router settings for any problem ...

and at the end ... if nothing help you then  try to talk with your ISP ...

  8. Might be a DNS issue. Try to unplug your router and plug it back in. You can also bypass the router to see if that's the problem. Try to surf to a website by it's IP address. Yahoo's is 68.180.206.184
