Why do I lag on a game that I have never lagged on before?

I've recently began to lag on Doom 3. My frame rate, usually at least 20, has recently dropped to well below 10 in most areas. I've never had this problem before, in the 5 months I've had the game. This problem started abruptly, and without much warning. During the period between my last lag free session, and my first lagging session, I've installed nothing, or gotten rid of any programs. (I like to have fraps on when I play, but I've confirmed that it isn't the problem)

Anyone know what's going on?

Try downloading and installing Glary Utilities, one click solves your problems. Glary Utilities removes your invalid registry entries, so that it runs faster. Also try Auslogics Disk Defrag. I don't recommend defragmenting removable disks (ex. flash drive) as it cuts the removable disks life in half.
