Like when I got a shot a 2bb gun bullets through my foot . I wasn't crying or screaming, but just laughing. Or when some one broke their arm and asking for help. I just laughed but, didn't mean it. Is something wrong with me or something?

  1. It's just a nervous reaction. All people have them, when we get nervous we react differently. Like at weddings, some brides cry hysterically while others can't stop laughing. It is normal just may get odd looks every now and then.

  2. i think its your hormones, my cousin laughs when he is insulted most of the time

    umm the bb bullets when through your foot? I've never heard that before

  3. I do that all the time =.=

    haha. when I fell off a tree and fractured both of my arm bones, I couldnt stop laughing..

    And unfortunately, when my mom ran into a class door and got a cut on her eyebrow I couldn't stop laughing.... I was grounded for a while..  =.=;;

  4. No, it's not uncommon to laugh at those times.  It can be sort of a defense. Cats, for example, purr when they're in pain to comfort themselves.

    It's also true that the emotional wiring gets a bit crossed when you're feeling something really intense.  At that intensity, everything kind of blurs together.  Love and hate are really close... so are laughter and pain.

    Think about how many jokes you've heard where the punch line is about someone getting hurt or something uncomfortable happening.  Laughter is a natural way of expressing the discomfort and stress we feel when we hear or see something distressing. The important thing is that pleased laughter and stressed laughter are two different kinds of laughter.  I bet you are not using pleased laughter when you are in pain.

    When I'm stressed out or in pain, I personally tend to hum and sing.  My doctor said I did it on the operating table, while under anesthesia.  So I'm probably weirder than you. :).

  5. Psychologically, it's a defense mechanism in which you express the opposite reaction to the one you can't tolerate.  For instance, it may be easier for you to laugh cause showing concern would make you uncomfortable or "uncool" or "not brave".

    As long as it doesn't detract from your life or someone else's don't worry about it.

  6. ur so cool,that's the real way 2 enjoy life bcoz it is so special nd u 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! dear i like ur attitude a lot ur just like one of my friend,so keep laughing ha ha ha ha ha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Speaking of that, my friend Stevie ran into a basketball hoop today and broke his arm.  His parents took him to the hospital, and he's got a cast.  I couldn't stop laughing, even though I felt bad for him.  I mean, c'mon! What kind of loser runs into a pole and gets hurt???
