Why do I look so fat when people say I'm not?

Please help me...I look in the mirror and truly see someone whos very overweight and obese looking back at me.I feel like no matter what I wear I look chubby and frumoy. I hate looking at myself because of my size, and feel guilty whenever I eat something that is no super healthy. But everyone else thinks im mad and keep saying I have lost lots of weight and I will look awful if I loose anymore.

I recently lost 2 stone and now weigh 118 pounds, and Im 5ft4.

Please help I dont understand why everyone is lying to me.

  1. You're the one who is wrong here, sorry to say. 118lbs at 5'4" is pretty light, and if you lost much more you'd be considered underweight. You need to reconsider your image of a healthy attractive body, because if you become as thin as you seem to want to be, it's the exact opposite of what you'll end up with.


  2. If you think you look fat, do something about it. Doing aerobic exercise and strength training to build muscle will certainly help you lose body fat while gaining more muscle. Muscle is tighter than fat and will sculpt your body, therefore even if you stay at your healthy weight of 118 you may look skinnier to yourself because you'll be leaner all over. Pairing exercise with a healthy diet (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats/proteins, lots of water) will surely improve your body inside and out, improve your mind, and make you more self-confident and secure. You only have one body that is yours, and if you are unhappy and want your body to change you have to work for it!

  3. This is actually a perfect question for me to answer because i just so happen to be the same weight and height as you. I have felt like this before but heres the deal. You may have what i have, an uneven distribution of fat, meaning, even though you aren't fat at all you seem to feel it because more fat is going to one part of your body for example, the majority of fat on me is on my thighs(which is rare for guys) and so i have a thin upper body and then when you look at my thighs they look much bigger. Now they don't look really weird like I'm a freakish person just they will cause me to say wow i need to lose some weight.. Just don't worry about yourself you truly aren't fat if you still know u will feel fat about yourself try eating healthier foods in place of junk foods.

  5. Wow!  As if chubby isn't bad enough, you have to look frumoy as well.  I've only heard of one other person in my whole life who was frumoy, so I really feel for you.

    If you are 5'4" and weigh 118 pounds, then please stop fretting over it.  Walk with your head held high and a big smile on your face.  Your weight is absolutely perfect for your height!  Way to go girl!

  6. if you are 5'4 and you are 60 kilos out of this it would be ideal that you loose 3 kilos then you will look fantastic and easier to dress but be careful that you don't make it into obsession, loose it at ease by eating just vegetables and a lot of water no snacks no sugar,no cakes

  7. sweetie, please, go see a doctor or talk to your mother or father or even a friend. your not fat really! its all in your head. god only knows the modern Midia doesn't make it easy for young people today, but really your fine the way you are! people who care for you don't lie to you about things like that.

  8. Go on a diet but not a starvation diet. Have you heard of the new program, Nutrisystem?  It really works! The food tastes the same but makes you skinner. You can eat pizza, burgers, chocolate....ANYTHING:) It's on TV. Just call when you see the commercial or search on Google for it. Hope this helps  

  9. your BMI is 20.3, which is well within the healthy range. don't lose anymore weight. you're not fat, you just have low self esteem. they're not lying to you- you're skinny. learn to love yourself

  10. You're already at a healthy weight, and they're right to start getting worried about your eating habits. Nobody is lying to you except your mind. Be happy with the body you have now, people who actually are overweight would kill for that!
