Why do I lose connection on xbox live every time my phone rings?

but my internet works when i use the phone, why not xbox live?

you have to have something called MicroFilter just before your Modem or your Router, I used to face this Problem and My Internet Provider Told me about it and they were correct

because you probobly have dial up and it uses the phone line so you cant use the internet and the phone at the same time

You have Dial-up, can't use both at the same time.
