Why do I never see fried Salmon on the menu?

Some kinds of fish seem to always be broiled and other kinds fried. Is it just tradition or is there some sound reason behind this?

  1. I don't know but.....

Salmon is really healthy and by frying it your defeating the object!?!

Or because salmon tastes nice enough and we don't need loads of oil in it!?!

  2. Here in Brazil one of the most popular items to order in a Japanese restaurant is "Hot Philadelphia" which is a salmon and cream cheese sushi roll then deep fried. I don't know why I haven't see these in the States, but they are HEAVEN!!

Plain ole salmon deep-fried? Salmon is already pretty fatty, might just be too rich.

  3. salmon is already an oily fish.. and it's flavour is quite delicate and refined. maybe frying will ruin it

  4. Fried salmon...ew
