Why do I not have odometer reading or gear selector showing?

I have a 98 chevy blazer, I have checked all fuses and my odometer and gear selector is not showing (all of which is digital)

Could just be a electircal problem or a problem with the cluster. I'd bring it to a GM dealership and ask them to look at it/ tell you what might be wrong.

Isn't that display fluorescent? I've got a feeling your going to have to change the whole head unit out, but maybe there's a part just for that item? Like a ballast. Follow the link below and I'm sure they can help.

a few of the wires probably melted.

I have a 92 sable and mine did this.. it took out my speedometer, odometer, and gas gauge.

be warned.. its about a 300 dollar problem.
