I don't know, it feels good for some reason. This is not a flossing addiction, but I pick at my gums usually with floss or toothpicks until they bleed (It hurts and feels good at the same time)

What is this?

  1. Maybe you don't feel like you've completed the job until you make them bleed. You feel a good sensation, when you cut them, so maybe its just something you have become addicted to. Because you say it feels good.

  2. A short answer.

Most things to do with your mouth give pleasure. It is the main entry to your body. Food, drink and most other things enter via mouth.

Nature makes all animals look after that part of the body and most animals do themselves harm by over doing maintenance.

Humans, fortunately, are blessed with reasoning. You have to decide for yourself if the pleasure is worth the damage that you know you are inflicting on yourself.

Decide to stop and, if you have any self control, you will

  3. maybe your going emo but don't want to cut yourself

  4. i get that aswel and so do some of my friends i dont think its unnormal it must just been something to do with the nerves
