I know I am more uncomfortable running in hot weather-but I run extremely faster and farther in cool/cold weather.

  1. That's odd because the warm weather is better on the lungs. However, I'd have to agree with you! In the heat, i start to overheat, sweat and get dehydrated fast (making me weak). The cold air is refreshing and inspirational for me; it reminds me what I'm doing and keeps me focused.

    Hi five!! :D

  2. You're more comfortable in cool

    weather, not overwhelmed with

    the heat.

    In cooler weather, the  motion

    from running heats you.  It's

cold and the mix of your body

    temperature and the weather

    stirs well together.

  3. I know excactly what you mean! All the times I broke my PR for the 2 mile this year it was cold and rainy. It's so weird, but I do so much better in the cold. I think I agree with  the first answerer. I always joke that I run faster when It's raining just to get it over with.

  4. same here.

i think i run faster becuase i want to get back into my warm sweats more than anything

but i have also had some of my worst races in the cold also

    hmmm

    good question!!
