Why do I seem to get tired faster while running outside rather than on a treadmill?

  1. With a treadmill, you dont get resistance the way you do when you run outside. Imagine how nice it would be if the ground moved beneath us as we ran.


  2. The treadmill reduces variables.  Outside, you deal with the weather (including heat, humidity, pollution, etc), and then the surfaces (rocks, grass, concrete, etc).   The treadmill also helps you maintain your same speed reducing another variable.  Plus, depending on your setup, you may have distractions such as TV that help you take your mind off of running.
