Why do I sweat when I eat corn on the cob?

Only when I eat corn on the cob (not frozen or canned) do I sweat like ten men. Why?

  4. You need to slow down when you eat... it's not a race.

  5. I'm no expert, but I would guess it's because corn on the cob is really only good when it is hot right from the water. If you eat it then, the temperature is really hot and I think just that could make you sweat. But also I think it has to do with the amount of carbs in the corn too. It is naturally sweet and I know when we make it in our family, the recipe calls for adding a little sugar to the water for added sweetness. That's a lot of stored energy, so your body reacts by sweating.  

    Again, like I said, I'm no expert. It just seems that way to me.  Hope that helps!
