It is not a heating and cooling issue in the house either. I also know body temperature drops a little when u sleep.

  1. Search for "sleep paralysis" on google. It's quite a common experience. When you're asleep, your body 'switches off' so you don't act out your dreams, and sometimes you can wake up before it 'swithes on' again. I used to get it a lot when I took ecstacy regularly. It's very scary, but some people can use it as a starting point for out of body experiences...

  2. I think you have it the wrong way round. You get cold at night, which stimulates your mind into having dreams of cold and death, then you wake up.

  3. You may have an unconscious fear that is setting off beginning stages of shock that stop when it wakes you.

When human bodies enter shock, they feel colder than they ever have before. A person will begin to shiver and tremble within a few seconds, usually followed by unstopable crying for a few minutes, but the cold comes on so fast and seems like you will never be able to be warm again.

In fact a very good example of this is when on Taps, the cameraman supposedly was hit in the chest and face and knocked off his feet by an unseen something. He instantly started shivering and crying and he was an adult. That is what happens when you experience intense fear coming on suddenly before you had a chance to put any reasoning behind it.

  4. I would be wondering why you would have that many dreams of people who passed a way that you would worry about waking up cold.

  5. "I see dead people..."

  6. theres many possible reasons for why u feel cold when your loved ones visit u in dreams it may be that they are visiting you to tell you that they are at peace and might be in the room at the time as a drop in temperature can be related to spirits. if it is someone who dont know then look into the history of your home. if that doesnt come up with anything then try the library for useful information on dreams e.g dream dictionary

  7. this is a psychosomatic responce to the dreams. Your body makes it real. I think you have to analyze how you feel during these dreams to really get to the heart of the matter. Are you feeling guilty? happy to see them? afraid? or something else?

Also, you might consider posting this in the

    >social science>dream interpetation

section and see how they respond to it. You might get an interesting alternate point of view.

  8. Though I do like the answer and do agree in part with the answer about shock.

another reason might be, that you are being visited by the ghost of those that have passed away.  They are appearing to you in dreams, possibly are either being attracted to you, or your dreams of them.

My experience with ghosts has been that they sort of give me a very cold feeling/vibration, and I feel they are sucking my warmth away, but not in a way that i fear them.  It might be a method they require so they can connect with you ...so that they can be 'seen' or atleast 'felt' so that you may know their presence. I hope this gives you some insight.

I have never found any of my sightings/experiences to be a reason to be frightened of them.

    i hope this helps.

  9. I think you answered your own question regarding body temperature. My wife will wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and she'll always be colder than when she went to bed. I know because she shuts the overhead fan off and sometimes I catch her :)  I'm always warm.

  10. You are being visited by people who love you who passed away and who have come to you because they share a tie of love with you.  It is colder in atmospherea than it is here. Spirits don't need heat like we do here.

  11. I agree with legion

Ghosts can suck on your energy, and influence your dreams.
