Why do I want her so bad?

I've been thinking this for about 4 months even after this girl rejected me 3 months ago.

I can't get her off my mind and sadly I've been "studying" the little signs that she has a crush on me (which started coming about 2 months ago.)

I'm scared as f**k that she'll fall for some other guy (though it doesn't seem that way) and that I might lose her (even though she's not even my girlfriend.)

Since school starts back up next week I can't stop thinking of ways to "get at her" let alone asking her to be mine.

Btw, she's a good friend of mine.

Any thoughts on why I'm feeling this way?

I have the same problem. It's just because you are afraid that since she doesnt want a bf right now, that you won't be able to win her over the other guys that she is inevitabley going to test throughout the school year until she picks the best one really. Eventually she's going to want a man to hold on to, you just have to make her think back to you when it all comes down to it, try your best to not get upset if you notice her flirting with other guys and stuff, she's still single and looking, and you are a prospect for having told her how you like her and that you want to go out with her. Just do your best to keep her happy with you, even if you don't get to talk that much. hope this helps!
