Why do Ihave the feeling that when I am sleeping that something is exploding in my head?

This don't happen every night --- It happens approximatly a couple times a month, I've mentioned this to my Dr. and she looks at me like I'm crazy and sluffs it of as nothing-----It don't hurt, but it wakes me up, and when it happens , its usually 2or 3 times during the night

well what is it a sharp pain? Where on your head? Go see another doctor soon. They can do a CAT scan and a few other things. Dont just not do anything about. That doctor just might not want to put the time into figureiing it out just because you seem generally healthy on the outside. I say go see someone else.
