  1. at least what they lack they make up with their intelligent..I've noticed E.Indians  do very well in school and they're extremely bright.

  2. Here's your answer:

I am half-black and half-Indian. I obviously got the Indian genes because I come in dead last in every race I run. I can't run fast. Some aspects of my athletic abilities are decent, but otherwise, they're sub-par. I'm in the lower part of the bell curve when it comes to running. When I see other Indian kids too, I realize they have the same problem too. I'm not surprised India can't win much in the Olympics, we are just not athletic people.

I can work on it, but I just realize I'm not a natural athlete. It's just genes. For some reason, I can jump well though. Don't ask. Some genes I have are black, some are Indian.

  3. they are more worried about poverty than recreation

  4. 2 reasons. 1st is the lack of pure talents. 2nd is the lack of money and facilities specialize in any major sports. if crickt was in the olympic, india might have a chance.

  5. India can perform better, if the right incentives are there.  Now, too much focus has been on crickets.  Reviewing the recent past, India performed well in hockey and in crickets.  The question is, "why not other sports?".

Perhaps, currently there are too many social issues to tackle, and sports promotion and development is simply not anywhere near the top priority.  As India progresses economically, I believe that we can witness a sea-change in the near future.

  6. Olympic is not the national game of india.

We are the best in field Cricket. By 2012 Cricket will also be included which India can win Australia.

I hope India will do well and come out top in the Commonwealth Games in 2010.

  7. they need more athletes participating in the games, look at all the leading nations in this year's olympics - China, USA, Russia..., they all had over 450 contestants, India barely had 30.

  8. Wait until the IOC puts C++ programming as a sport for the Olympics. Then you'll take your words back.

  9. Did you forget the number of people in their team?

One gold and two bronzes meant alot to India.
