Why do Indians cook their veggies to DEATH?

  1. Its their style and techniques to torture their Friends and love ones....with dead veggies..ha ha


  2. I agree, most Indian vegetables are way overcooked. I think this also extends to meat, chicken and seafood.  This overcooking goes back to the thinking that heat kills all bacteria and parasites.  More heat, more doneness, more cooking ---- the better.  

    If you are comparing Indian foods to other Asian cooking styles such as stir frys, then most defintely Indians do tend to overcook their food.  

  3. 1st, do you mean native americans or indians from india?

    I love cooked veggies MUCH more than raw.  Actually steamed or stir-fried is good, but falling apart in soup isn't bad either.
