In the series of ads for 'injury lawyers 4 u' they do the usual thing of 'If youve ever been in an accident, you can sue anyone you like' and they get that dude from Eastenders who played a gangster to front their commercials.

Doesnt this just give an air of menace about their ads. Kind of like implying 'Hey dont worry if youve had an accident, we'll send Johnny around and make sure that you .......ahem ..... get compensated for your injuries. Whatever it takes.'

(just a rant, hope you enjoyed it)

  1. Yes! I've been saying that for ages! You almost expect case studies like this:

"Kat and Alfie Moon called InjuryLawyers4u when Andy Hunter married Kat, Kat jilting him at the altar and then getting into a downward spiral of blackmail and demands of money with menace. We got them a no win, no fee settlement, with Andy Hunter "falling off a bridge". Now THAT'S 100% compensation. CALL NOW!"

At least that's how I remember that Eastenders storyline anyway.

  2. LOL that advert always makes laugh

he must have fallen on hard times to be advertising them

  3. Didn't he also play a bent copper in The Bill?

No offence intended to the actor, but the choice of him to represent the company is hardly good casting.

  4. totally agree. its really lame.

  5. I thought the same thing when breakfast cereal Activita was been promoted by Ray Winston. I started buying it straight away! Not because I wanted it, I was just terrifed NOT to.

  6. I can't put into words how much I detest those ads. I have never liked that actor and the wording of the ad really bugs me. It is so symptomatic of the "blame culture" combined with an element of greed. Distasteful in the extreme.

  7. He's an actor, Dave....

    Not a real Gangster.

  8. He must have been cheap - there's not much work for ugly old men about on TV nowadays ! ! !
