  1. They are quite knowledgeable of their own history.

    -end-

    =Edit=

Just received email and information that Inlakesh is indeed officially DF'd

We will as of now no longer be answering his questions, and he will be blocked.

If he would like to speak with an elder, then he may contact one by letter or phone at the nearest Kingdom Hall or Branch office.

  2. They are controlled by their organization and they will follow it even when they see things do not make sense

  3. I have made it a point to know in detail quite a bit of the history. In fact, since I first learned the truth in the 50's, what is history to some is part of my life.

Not as a matter of boasting, but as a matter of personal experience, I was there to hear certain talks, to see certain people, to read certain books.

My library of older publications goes back to 1918. I have taken time to read quite a bit of it. In general, history (ANY kind of history) is interesting to me. And the history of this organization is no different.

It is much like seeing any group or committee or club or organization get off the ground. Very few things hit the ground running. When you look at the commission to preach in all parts of the earth, the expense, the legalities, the corporations required to meet the letter of the law, the printing, the translation of the Bible and Bible literature into over 450 languages, the sign language and Braille facilities, and the education/training provided down to every one of Jehovah's Witnesses, makes me in awe of what has been accomplished.

To deal with over 200 governments, sets of laws, ethnic backgrounds, cultures, and education levels and make the progress it has is astounding.

Knowing the history adds color, depth, and understanding that fortifies us that this IS the truth.

    EDIT:

    Thanks Vot!

  4. Good question!  I was raised a JW and knew NOTHING about their history. There is SO much more information available than ever before thanks to the internet!

What?.... is there some secret 'Apostate' society that meets together with hooded cloaks on and they sit around making up fake documents and a bunch of so-called (by JW) LIES?  I think NOT!

Even when evidence is shown of their own publications, they accuse 'Apostates' of making fake publications!  No one HAS to go to such lengths to prove them wrong when the evidence is so abundant....that is enough evidence to me that JWs are NOT living in reality!

......just look at the JW responses, ANYONE can see that THEY themselves need help.....but these "true Christians" can offer SARCASTIC remarks of concern over NOT an OBSESSION but a GENUINE concern? ....for goodness sake!  I still have JW famliy members in this group AND I am concerned about THEIR mental health!

  5. Why ask that since you were a Witness at one time? If you have Now found your truth keep running with it.

  6. Whenever there is conflict or question, they are ALWAYS directed by leadership to "wait on Jehovah".

That means:  "give it up", "don't talk about it", "don't question"

  7. The better question would be "Why do people post lies and phrase them in the form of a question?

  8. They claim to know here, but then it must be that they do not care. I would be so embarrassed by the early teachings, but these folks are fine by the term " new light".

They really do not know, otherwise they left the organization.

  9. Do other religions spend countless hours talking about the history of there religion? no because its probably not relevant to whats going on. Jehovah's witnesses have published books detailing there history, and even acknowledge the things there falsely accused of. But people would rather read the bizarre facts on the internet posted by some  conspiracy theory nut.

  10. Doctor Hoo: I'm assuming you're a JW because of the owl.  Aren't JW's the ones who go around boasting that they follow Jesus more closely than any other group?  I don't recall Jesus making fun of anyone, ever!!

  11. because it's edited out of the new editions of their literature.  And now, CD-Roms of their literature that state one thing, say something slightly different in the next release version. Then, instead of the dogmatic reading given earlier, it's toned down, until it's explained away in some fashion, such as calling those who believed the original history as "overzealous brothers and sisters."

When your spiritual leaders, your Faithful and Discreet Slave, who is supposed to be your only channel for spiritual food tells you that surely it's only a FEW MONTHS until the Battle of the Great Day of Armageddon (the 1975 debacle), do you think it's "overzealous" to believe what's written,  or instead are you a faithful witness, striving to be obedient to The Organization?

I would say those who didn't believe were not good witnesses at that time.  and now they have the nerve to scorn those who did believe what they were told by their spiritual leaders.  In fact, their literature is written to scorn those who believed it in the first place.  Fortunately many copies of original literature exist and it's available for all to read, so they may make up their own mind about the situation.

Why would anyone care about this?  Because, those who aren't privy to the life of a JW (both good and bad) cannot fathom how it is when it goes badly.  They're not told how a person can lose their entire family by becoming involved with this Organization, and perhaps their life because of their shunning and medical dogma. Not to mention, it's false theology!   I would be very careful putting all my eggs into this basket if I were a new study with the JWs.  but by the time people know enough to ask the hard questions, they;'re usually baptized.  what a shame.

Chuck, get out of my head! LOL

  12. I don't know why ?

The ones who visit me seem to know it very well.

  13. I admit I didn't know too much about my own history and because of that, I started to read and now I'm learning more. Things have changed over time, even within the Organization. But one thing has not changed: our steadfast love for the truth, for Jehovah God and helping others and learn accurately about God and the Bible.

  14. Not accurate...

Just look at all the printed material, including the full history.

A large hard bound 750 page book [ with a green cover] was issued in 1993 and is available in EVERY KINGDOM HALL, for any member of the public to peruse it if they want.

    Title; JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES....PROCLAIMERS OF GOD'S KINGDOM.

So please do not spread untruths . It only highlights ignorance and/ or hate.
