  1. I cannot believe that when you typed in this question, you didn't see the other 12,345 times it was asked and answered.  I really don't understand why people keep asking this question....why do you care?  As long as you are free to practice your religion, why do you care what other people believe?  But to answer your question:  Jews today do not accept Jesus Christ as a savior because we have no need of a savior.  We do not believe in original sin; we believe all people are born innocent.  Jesus is simply irrelevant to Judaism and the only time we ever refer to Jesus or mention his name is here on R&S.  When we are with each other, the name of Jesus or Christ or anything like that never comes up.

  2. because they have their own religion and they dont have to follow another one that was MADE from their religion.

  5. Isaiah 53

1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Can You Solve this Ancient Jewish Riddle?

  7. I suppose because they only want to believe what they see.

  8. they don't because in their terms when the messiah comes all Jews will live forever in peace and that didn't happen

[plus its not part of Judaism

  9. Judaism teaches that the messiah will fulfill the following prophecies--as a fully human man--and Jesus did **none** of these:

    * The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26)

    * Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance. (Isaiah 2:4)

    * The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)

    * He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8-10)

    * The Moshiach will be a man of this world, an observant Jew with "fear of God" (Isaiah 11:2)

    * Evil and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership (Isaiah 11:4)

    * Knowledge of God will fill the world (Isaiah 11:9)

    * He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations (Isaiah 11:10)

    * All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12)

    * Death will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8)

    * There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8)

    * All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19)

    * The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness (Isaiah 51:11)

    * He will be a messenger of peace (Isaiah 52:7)

    * Nations will end up recognizing the wrongs they did to Israel (Isaiah 52:13-53:5)

    * The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23)

    * The ruined cities of Israel will be restored (Ezekiel 16:55)

    * Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9)

    * The Temple will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40) resuming many of the suspended mitzvot

    * He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)

    * Jews will know the Torah without Study (Jeremiah 31:33)

    * He will give you all the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4)

    * He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:13-15, Ezekiel 36:29-30, Isaiah 11:6-9)

  10. ask in Religion and Spirituality

  11. OMG! How can you honestly ask such a thing ?? I mean how dare you? Thats a religious question. Please have some respect. Everyone has the right to believe in what they want, as you have the right to believe in whatever you want. Its called free will. Learn how to use it or in this case respect it.

  12. Because the messiah will not be a god.  For Jews, the belief that God would become human is the ultimate heresy, and human sacrifice an abomination!

If the messiah had been here, we would be living in peace.

"...they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)

    .

  13. because that would make them either Christian or Muslim, in the fact the both religions accept Jesus Christ.

  14. Sooner or later they're gonna convert or be cast into a molten lake of fire in the pits of h**l!!!!!

jews if you dont recriprocate jesus's love he'll shove you in a hole in the ground for all of eternity!

    Recriprocate jesus's love or else!!!

  15. He is not their messiah,God is one to them. People are free to believe as they wish.

  16. They don't accept him for the same reason that you DO accept him as the savior. It is belief. There is no proof that he was the savior and no evidence. The fact that the world has not known peace for very long since his time is an indication that he was NOT the savior.

You have your beliefs, the Muslims have theirs, the Jews have theirs. There are also hundreds of other religions, each with their own beliefs. Even the Christians are divided into many, many sects, each we very different beliefs.

Many of the Christian sects say that other Christians will not go to heaven because "they don't believe the same things we believe."

P.S. Ultra N makes some very good points, so does Greek Barbie. Mark S gave quite a list of facts that would have happen if Jesus was the Christ. Kind of hard to refute those facts.

  17. Because the idea that Jesus was some holy messiah is part of Christian dogma, not Jewish.

  18. Why don't you accept Buddha?

  19. Because Jesus is not a part of the Jewish religion.
