Why do Korean people eat boiled eggs while they travel?

In movies and real life, I see many people (in korea) eat boiled eggs on a train for example while they travel, and go on a trip. Why specifically eggs? just wondering...

For the same reason that many other people eat boiled eggs while they travel - it's a good protein source, it's simple to eat (no fuss, no muss, just peel and enjoy) and it's inexpensive. Oh yeah, it also tastes good.
