Why do Leos do this?

Question

I'm wondering why Leos force their presence on people they know don't want them around? Is this a power play or something? I don't understand it but it's overbearing and unpleasant.

Leos chase after people, lovers and otherwise, with whom at one point, they shared chemistry.  Leos are very passionate people with very big hearts who tend to wear those hearts on their sleeves.  So when someone catches their fancy or strikes them as someone they want know, some of those people will affect them in a very deep way.  Unfortunately, other signs often don't share our level of ability to sustain that sort of intensity of emotion, so while it's a passing thing, a flight of fancy, or nothing of that much importance to the other person in question, and this will be particularly so if the recipient of the Leo's affections is an Aries or a Libra (when Libras are ready to move on, they're ready to move on, and it's like the other person doesn't exist), Leo can't just turn it on and off.

The best thing you can do if you find yourself on the receiving end of this is to tell them in a clear way, that shows them respect, that shows them that you have faith in their ability to handle the truth, that shows them that you have no belief that you are the last or best they'll ever do on Earth, and wait while they go through their process which might involve your having to deal with a few more phone calls.

Leo's love for others is like a drug, and when you force someone to go cold turkey on something they had no plans of giving up in the first place, it is a terrible shock to the system.  

As to it being a power play, that is far more likely to happen with Scorpio than with Leo.

We don't force our presence.When people act rude to me or tell me in some way 'we don't want you here' I walk away and I don't talk with these people.But the people I hang out with are mostly Sag/Aries,so I am like the leader there,they cant tell me to go,and they never did.

What I don't understand is,why people always try to get us out of things.It's like,you know we will do it good,and even better than you,why do you want to whole credit for yourself?

I think this is the case with August Leos.That too only with the males.I know an August Leo.He would make me sit for hours making me listen to his boring stories about himself.He would interrupt when I am talking.I used to feel like running away.But he wouldn't let me do it.I found it annoying since I have enough diplomacy not to say "SHUT UP" on face.But the females are nice only.If you give them the attention they want they will generously shower you with love and praises in return.They will do this "power play" only in the initial stage.Once you get to know them properly they will be very very sweet to you.Arrogance is kinda defense for them to protect their fragile ego.

Maybe it's just the Leo's you know. I have tons of Leo's in my family and my long time boyfriend is a Leo also. None of them force their presence on anyone and could care less about that type of thing. Maybe you should rephrase your question and ask: Why do some people force their presence on others? Until you meet every Leo in the entire world then you should try not to lump all of them together when it comes to characteristics and traits.

I'm a Leo so maybe I'm bias, but I feel like I'm overly aware of what people think and would never force my presence on someone who doesn't want it. In fact I don't force my presence on anyone unless I feel welcomed. I'm not sure this is a Leo thing so much as it's just coincidence with the people you've run into who do this being Leos. We're very socially aware people and although we have a reputation of being in the center of things all the time, we know when our presence is unwanted. Although this might hurt our ego and send us into quiet solitude feeling sorry for ourselves, I can't see us forcing our presence in places it's not wanted.

Well i'm a Leo and i don't think we force our presence on anyone. people are drawn to us. we can't help that. and as a leo if i felt someone didn't want me around i would back off.
