Monkys hang from trees. Bananas hang from trees. They are bound to meet and nature takes its course where monkeys eat leaves, insects and fruit. The fruit tastes sweet. And monkeys have decent memories. I bet they figures bananas taste better that leaves and insects. So they like bananas.
