It's like a salute that I see Harley bikers do to each other on rural highways. What does that mean exactly?

  1. to me it means "hello" "sayonara" "bologna sandwich hold the mayo"  it dont mean a thing to me!!!!!!!!  i'm freakin too old to care!!!!!

  2. a courteous wave hello to fellow riders.

  3. It is a motorcyclist hand greeting. Chivalry is not dead!

  4. It's just a wave of greeting. Used to be quite common but not used much anymore. I still do it but it rarely gets returned. After seeing some of the SH I T that goes on here I think I can understand why. No one respects anyone or anything enough to care.

  5. I don't have a Harley, but when I am out on my motorcycle, approaching motorcyclists do the pointing-down thing. It's just a way of indicating a bond with other bikers.

I have a Jeep and all Jeep Wrangler drivers give the hello sign.

  6. It's just a greeting, an acknowledgement from one rider to another.

  7. nobody knows what it means but its provocative and it gets the people going!!!

  8. It means there are debris on the road such as rocks, shale, oil or a dead animal

  9. It means Hi There, Hallo, its a fraternity

  10. It used to be two fingers, a sign, from back  when not many roads were paved, to keep the wheels down and the shiny side up.

Now, with better roads and higher speeds its a wave that keeps the hand out of the slip stream.

  11. never seen anyone do it. i don't look .it might get me killed

  12. Just saying Hey Cuz

At least we dont try to slap hands any more that used to hurt sometimes

  13. It means nothing. It means Hey look at me I am trying to be as cool as everyone else. I just ignore them.
