  1. It saves gas

    power

the engine and it's like football players going out like a team before a game

  2. I have never actually seen the drivers push the cars, but the crew members do it all the time. It saves a little fuel, is much less dangerous on a crowded race morning, and it does save a little wear and tear on the car.

  3. Once a race car's engine is started, it's crucial that the car begin to move very soon. Modern engines are designed to operate when moving through air, which provides necessary cooling. When the cars are stationary, however, mechanical stress and heat builds up quickly, so there is little lag time between starting the engines and moving into the single formation lap that precedes the race start.

  4. No cars are to be started during the pre race ceremonies. Only when those famous words are spoken!

  5. trick question huh?

nascar drivers don't push their cars (at least not most of them, not anymore) - their crew members do!!!

    4. dont want to hurt the engine and tires and brakes before the race stars.

    5. when they fire up the engines for this masive horse power they burn .7999 gallons of fuel about a little over a half gallon to sum it up. and you want to save all the fuel you can.

    6. you only start you engine when the cammand ig givin "GENTELMEN START YOUR ENGINES"

7.they do drive back and forth from the garage to the race track on sppeedweeks, qualifying, and practices, also testing because there are not as many people there at that time.
