Why do NHL captains and assistant captains warm up without helmets on?

Never really understood why they did this.

its not a rule or anything

but perhaps you never thought its thier choice to do that...

its like saying, why you go grocery without a shopping cart

I'd warm up without a helmet.  It's pretty refreshing.  Players choice.

Some warm up with, some with out. In my opinion those with out most like the idea that the puck can lift right up in to their foreheads.

they are probadly thinkinh that any time without a helmet is good

Most of those guys have been around a while and just prefer to have no helmet on when they can.  Lots of guys who aren't C's and A's where no helmet in the warm up too.
