Why do NRL match officials cheat

Question

Are Melbourne Storm that loaded with cash ,that they can pay match officials to sway the game their way?, week after week.

I just turned off the TV in disgust after watching ,yet again another disallowed try to Bret Stuart for Manly, which should never have even gone upstairs,it was a clear cut try.

Don`t get it wrong, i`m not a Manly fan....but was a Rugby League fan.

I am only one , but all the NRL fans that i know are talking about the same thing....NRL are corrupt and are well and truly in self destruct mode.

Let`s see how they perform with the SBW saga, I hope they get their *** kicked , the crooked pricks deserve it .

i was at that game and the ref was the biggest idiot

now that first melbourne try, how the h**l could archer and the bloody touchys not see the TWO forward passes, i was sitting right there, it was right infront of me but no, they didn;t go up to check on it he gave it straight away and when that brett stewart try came along, what does he do, goes to the video ref

now if the first try is obviously NOT a try and you don't go to the video ref, then you have a manly try that seems fine you have to go to the video ref

sure brett stewart took out a storm player, but who cares they deserve it

if the brett stewart was a no try then the melbourne try defiantly should of been a no try

the ref completely blew that game for manly

they were playing so well (besides a few matty orford kicks) but they deserved it so much more then those dirty melbourne cheats

im sick of biast refs like that, they shouldn't be in this game

manly vs storm was the most entertainging game of league i have watched in awhile, i was on the edge of my seat the whole time

but if it was a fair game it would of been even BETTER

we don;t need things like that in nrl

storm girl has knocked the nail right on the head. I'm a Cowboys fan (and what a great win on saturday night by the cowboys) and manly did get away with their fair share of 50/50 calls. Honestly get over it, you are in still first place. You are trying to hide that you are not a Manly fan, but you obviously are. The Storm were too good on the night. Manly had 7 extra sets of 6 with 20,000 fans behind them and with 5 sets of six on the Storm line and still won. They were just too good on the night.

calm down calm down. The match officials do their job and if you don't like it bad luck. Sure they have made a few bad decisions but you can't go ahead and start talking about the Melbourne storm paying the NRL so they can win. I saw that match last night and clearly not a try. I understand the Storm are just really good but it doesn't mean you should get upset about it. The NRL are not in self destructed mode, they have just had a bit of a bad year. But i've heard so much bs about the NRL dying and being gone. A few players go to France to play Rugby and then everyone gets the wrong idea. NSW are still supporting NRL and are still funding it. People are coming to games and it is all still alive and well. Nothing has changed apart from a few less fans. But thats just because its a fluke of a bad year.

Just read your extra bit, I think that the vics are cocky and have made a stupid sport too but victoria aren't out to kill the NRL through the Storm. The Storm is the only decent thing in this state. In a way its keeping every non vic living in vic sane. Or vics who just have a brain

I would never say the officials are corrupt, incompetent, lazy but not corrupt.

The video ref has been the worst decision the NRL has ever had. There are more incorrect and match changing decisions from these blokes. Watching it on their own in booth you would think they couldn't get it wrong but they do, consistently.

**Eliza, the ref may have missed a forward pass but the video ref can't adjudicate on forward passes. Can rule on offside, strange.

What makes it worse is that teams like Melbourne are supported by Fox so the implication is that the ref's are doing their masters bidding but I would completely discount that.

i Think there is growing presure on both NRl and Union refs to get some transparancy happening. Wrong decisions 50/50 rules the spot light right now is squarely on the rule makers and inforcers and the fans are demanding answers. Is it fair that a marginal decison can decide 26 weeks of sewat and tears. I think not.

The most entertaining match I've watched so far is the Storm Vs The Warriors. That was a very hard fought contest, low scoring and the Warriors won 8-6. As for tonight's game I didn't see it but it doesnt surprise me about the referee..

As for you a**holes making fun of 'joeblow' he has a point. Leave him alone! In other matches I've watched you'd swear the ref was paid off by the Storm because time and time again they've won matches they should have lost yet somehow managed to win!

Archer has the greatest potential, but cant help blowing the pea out of the whistle 4 nothin. But 2nite was one of the better games i have seen him ref. Sterwet took the player out so then he could not get the ball! NO TRY! Its in the fu..kin rules. But 99/100 ppl would suggest including me that it should have been a fair Manly try. $hit happens bro
