Simple - that's what politicians and governments do - it's all a bit piggy - porky pies and snouts in troughs!  

In the 1950s you needed 'A' Levels and to pass the Civil Service Examination before you got an interview.  These days targets for recruitment by gender, colour, and creed are more important that the ability to do the job.  

The benchmark for standards has slipped below the belt I'm afraid.  All those who are guilty of breaking the standards for security should get sacked - just like in the 'private sector' where the Civil Servants say they want equality!!
