  1. Keeps their muscles warm and washes off the chemicals in the pool.

  2. duh, for the same reason anyone does as soon as they get out of the pool. to wash off the chlorine before it causes any harm. it is harmless while skin is immersed, but when it oxidizes, even after drying, it can cause nasty burns worse than a sun burn.

  3. There schmutz in the water.  You don't want to walk around all schmutzig.

  4. Because the water in the pool is cold. That the reason for the warm shower.

    Good luck

  5. so their skin from the chlorine won't be harmed  while they wait for the next round when it is their turn again, which can be quite long. That's just my idea.

  6. I was wondering the exact same thing as I was watching the women dive last night.  However, I decided to do some research after I saw your question.  Apparently it's to keep their muscles warm and loose since it's cold upon exiting the pool.

  7. to wash off the pee in the water from the other divers

  8. Actually, Secret, I was watching the divin' competitions on NBC when a viewer asked that exact question. The comment8rs said that the pool is cold so the divers use showers 2 warm back up.

  9. simple.... showering afterwards rids the body of chlorine and other skin harming chemicals.
