  2. They do? Dunno, maybe they get thirsty. Or checking for urine.  

  3. I noticed that too. I'm not sure....good question!

  4. Not all of them do it. A lot of athletes have different routines they go through to get ready for a race. Maybe a way to get their mind set right or a superstitious thing. It's done for the same reason some athletes splash themselves with water before the race. No need for it...just helps them I guess.
