Why do Parents call me lazy?

its the summer holidays for me and I'm having my first long term relationship with my girlfriend and i am 15 years old. Now this is the first time i have had a job and it is long hours for a kid, sometimes can be 8am - 6pm. Also i have my first Rugby training sessions with the senior years, years 15-18 and i am not really the person to be playing with a lot of new people since i am quite sports shy and scared when i join new things.

Now back to the parents situation... I have come in tonight and my parents are angry with me due to my attitude and lack of commitment, they think i get up to late which is normally around 11am, they think i am to lazy to go to rugby training, they do not think i am committed enough to my job ( this is because i haven't been 2 work for 2weeks due to illness one week and due to the fact that its my last week of summer i want this week to be mine). there is also the fact that i have not asked for any money off them since i have my own now due to working, so i have come home and they have given me this hassle and i want to know why they are like this and what is there problem.

I am now asking all of you including teenagers and adults(parents) please could you give me an answer because i am getting really fed up of them and they are really putting me down :(

Thanks a lot for reading( if you did :) )

  1. child you cant not go work because it the last week of summer and you joing this rugby training course and you are supposed to stick with it what they are saying is you want to do what you want to do regardless of you have commitments you are supposed to filling when you get out on your own then you can do what you want but be aware you are three years from being eighteen and they probably are telling you to grow up and act like you are responsible when you decided to take a job or sign up for a sport

  2. dont listen to lost, that answerer is an idiot, tell them what you told us, tell them that what you are doing shows initiative, you are still a kid, you're only fifteen and you went out by yourself and got a job, and joined a sports team, you are not lazy dont listen to that. you are a teen who has a girlfriend and you have commitments and this is your summer break, there is nothing wrong with wanting a break, why would they want you to work all the time, you have your whole life to work. next time they bug you tell them that its summer vacation, you have worked hard all year even when school was out and you deserve a break.
