Why do People Say That McCain will Be Bush All Over Again?

No really, they really disagree on alot of strong issues and personally I dont think they even get along all that well, is it just because McCain is another republican. If thats it can I say that if Obama is elected it will be Clinton (Bill) all over again? I just really dont get it.

That drives me crazy!  GWB has never heard a bullet zing by his head...he's been pampered and is very out of sync with us "commoners".  McCain has been in the trenches and he can relate to us!  He's been IN a war and Bush STARTED a war...that's the only valid connection people can make.  Of course McCain would have GREAT interest in being a part of the Iraq war, in a DIPLOMATIC sense, because he has EXPERIENCE in that field and I'm sure he wants what's best for the country and what's best for the soldiers.  I think that people view the Republican party as one big fraternity and since GWB...(and senior for that matter), has given the party a black eye it's hard for McCain to regain the peoples trust!

They think that all Republicans are the same.  Obama and Clinton are two different people in many ways and that is for you to figure that out by your self and if you fill the same way.

Because he is republican and has the same beliefs. I personally think he would be better than bush, but he still has the same thoughts as him...

at this point, its looking like the gore campaign when he didn't want to be seen too closely with Clinton....because they were trying to win over the undecided....BUT...that back fired and many people said if he had allowed Clinton to campaign he would have won (well ya know) got to actually take office...people are blaming McCain for the misdeeds of another republican...but one has nothing to do with the other. yes they have similar belief systems...but i share that same belief system, and i am nothing like W. Mccain is a good guy, with unmeasurable ability. and you know what, yes, he's old, he could do amazing things in the next 4 years and i would like to see that. obama would probably take the next 4 years to even get taken seriously. and then have to be re-elected to accomplish any of his goals. it would be a waste and add that to the last 8 years and we've got 12 years of nothing.

Because McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time, and has supported Bush's decision on the Patriot ACT, FISA, the Surge, The Iranian blockade in the Gulf, bigger government intrusion on our privacy, the initial Iraq invasion, yet, he has voted against the Vets, and against funding the injured/amputee that come from Iraq, and Afghanistan. If McCain is such a war hero, he would put the fellow men before himself, and special interests. He's only good at sending them to war, but sucks at congratulating them with some sort of care when they com back home.
