Question:

Why do Quarterbacks l**k there hands so much?

It seems pretty gross, considering how many players and ball handlers handle the ball, not to mention how many times it is on the ground. Why don't they wear some kind of a wet sponge or something as oppose to l*****g their hands all the time. Can't imagine how many germs are transferred to their mouths.

  1. they have to l**k their hands to get the better grip of the ball so the ball won't get loose when a QB gets sacked

  2. Grip. That's why.

  3. grip, im one and it helps

  4. There hands taste like oatmeal

  5. to get grip of the ball so it does not go off there hand funny

  6. It helps get a better grip on the ball, Drew Brees is really bad about it.

I don't think the players are worried about germs and stuff, after all I saw on NFL Films one time, one player drank some Gatorade, put his cup down and walked away, a few seconds later someone else picked up the same cup and drank it. I think it may have been Drew Brees again.

    Cheers!

  7. They l**k their hands to get a better grip on the ball. They never really care about germs because their goal is to win.A wet sponge isn't as sticky as saliva (not to sound gross). It is just the logical way to get a better grip on the ball without wasting time.

    Hope this helps!
