"We The People" lag behind the learning curve of Industrial and Technical Economics.  This is a constitutional representative government.  People need to educate them self to the responsibilities of managing human and spending financial and material resources.

Political leaders of Democrat and Republican Party have intimate knowledge of the breadth and depth of human and material US wealth.  The clueless sense shared by most of the general public regarding million and billion dollar spending is inversely relative to their individual knowledge of Industrial and Technical Economics.

Republican Party leaders appear to master the process of controlling perception of information regarding "pork barrel" spending.  Democrat Party leaders are willing accomplices in the bi partisan legislation authorizing spending.  "Vested Interests"1.  who profit from "pork spending" court both Democrat and Republican political leaders.

Example:

The current Republican administration orchestrates a domestic $300 Economic Stimulus Payments per taxpayer.  The $300 domestic payment is perceived as an austere measure to be carefully doled out.    Meanwhile exceptionally more financial and material resource is being spent per Iraqi on the War In Iraq.  The "War In Iraq" by contrast is promoted as a patriotic mission to combat terrorism.  Verify the signatures and votes of spending legislation.

"Military Industrial Complex" 2. special interests rely heavily upon spending authorizations.

Democrat an Republican Party mambers share risk and reward of "Pork Barrel".
