  1. They don't think its funny to help people. They believe that its laughable that some one would have the audacity to run for president and claim that they would make a good president because they did some community service. When you compare John Mccain and Obama, John Mccain is a wise and experienced man and Obama hasn't accomplished much. Why anyone believes he would make a good president is beyond me.

  2. I thought that McCain urged people to help their communities last night. But yet they make fun of Obama for doing that instead of trying to get rich.

  3. Because it means giving up your time to help someone out without expecting payment. If it isn't being done for profit Republicans can't understand it.

  4. I don't know.  It is pretty pathetic of them.

As to the poster above, Abu#2:  Why do you refuse to acknowledge that Obama was an organizer for about 3 years, but don't talk about a Harvard education, graduating at the top of his class and the editor of the law review?  You also don't talk about his legal career, how he was a constitutional law professor in a major law school, served in the Illinois senate for 7 years, or his accomplishments as a US Senator?

I guess you are just another partisan hack.

  5. We don't my sister is a teacher in an all Black school with 33 years

in and says it's "fool White" time all the time,

With the Central Cities smashed after Trillions have been spent,

    they wonder what OBama accomplished

  6. There IS really NOTHING wrong with it...but when that's ALL you have on your resume that doesn't qualify you to be president of the US.

  7. Republicans don't need them.  They just don't have the social ills that require them.

Are there Republican gangs shooing up the place, sitting in the park doing drugs, having their home town suffer from blight no matter the size of the town? No.

They also wouldn't pad their presidential resume with "community organizer" even though it was more of a church group (that's refered to a "title inflation").  If that's the case most Republicans could have said they were community organizers.

  8. Because there is little money to be made in doing such a job.  They would rather start wars, destroy the budget, and rape the environment than help another human being.

  9. They so are so disrespectful. They after they do something they can stand there & say they don't McCain said he wanted us all to be together when whole convention was about tearind down democrats. I lost all respect for Guilliani. Most people don't even know the wonderful things about Obama. When he was 23 years old he ran a faith based charity called Developing Communities Project. 8 faith based parishes together. He started with a staff of 1 but when he left in 1988 to go to law school they had 13 & he took $70,000 to $400,000 He had job training & college prep to help improve the lives of people. There are a trillion reasons why we should not allow a republican in the white house.

  10. It's laughable when you think that it qualifies someone to be president.

Arbgre555 - So every law professor should run for President?  Harvard degree...hmmm...someone else has one of those and he's called an idiot on a daily basis on YA.  He didn't accomplish anything as a state or US senator.  If you really want "change" why are you going to back someone that has a law degree (like every other politician), wants to raise taxes (like all democrats) and wants to increase social programs (like all socialists do)?  Maybe you're an ignorant child who has latched onto a political movement just because it's popular.

  11. They don't. It has been proved that Republicans donate more of their time and money than do Democrats.

The laughable part is the notion that community organizer qualifies a person to be President.

  12. Yeah I know, Obama started as a Community Organizer, you have to start somewhere. Palin was a mayor of some Alaskan city she was mayor of has like 9000. Obama never attacked the Republicans by calling them names.

  13. There is nothing wrong with helping. But, when you belittle what another has done in their service, then you subject yourself to criticism also.

  14. We think it's laughable that liberals put that service on the same level as being a mayor.

  15. Its not something to laugh at. But our point is "community organizer" doesn't cut it for experience as president! Its not the position that's so funny, its the fact that that's all obama has as experience!

  16. Being a community organizer doesn't necessarily equate to helping your community; it really depends on what the community is being organized for.  Was "Bleach Throwing 101" one of his seminars?

  17. I don't know but Maybe they are laughing at you.

  18. We are laughing at you because you think asking silly questions on Yahoo Answers is "helping your community".

  19. Because they only want to help themselves.

  20. As a career that qualifies you to be president it is.

As something to do in your spare time it's wonderful.

  21. Because they are running low on reasons to support their idealogy

  22. We don't. Keep in mind this was a RESPONSE to Obama mocking Palin's experience as the mayor of a small town.
