  1. In order for a patient to benefit from the NHS they have to have paid in to it. Unless the 'royal' concerned does so, they get billed for their treatment just like, say, Americans who get taken sick while visiting the UK

  2. Simply because they are the caster oils, or often referred to as the casters.

  3. It's free in Canada!! HAHAHA!

  4. Because this is a monarchy.

Get rid of them and we'll all be better off.

  5. In the UK we have the NHS - which means everyone is entitled to free healthcare. :)

  6. If a member of the royal family gets sick then naturally they are going to get private medical treatment.  Why wouldn't they?  They can afford it, can't they?  I seriously doubt that there is any head of state in the world, or their family, who wouldn't get private medical treatment if they got sick.

People who pay for private medical insurance can generally get medical treatment quicker than those who don't.  There would be very little point in having it otherwise.

I personally think that the NHS does a great job and we are very lucky to have it, many countries don't have a medical service as good as ours.

if you resent having to wait for NHS treatment, then get yourself some private medical insurance.  Join BUPA or something.  But don't blame it on the royal family, what on earth has it got to do with them?  They don't run the NHS.

  7. Who said thay are royal, they are german / greek throughoffs

  8. Baah,baah,baah,baah,baah.

  9. Well - yes, Clive and others, and I'm a passionate supporter of the NHS too, but - the point of this question is that our beloved betters jump the queue by going private.

Is this defensible?  I think not.  Not even Charles, the most democratic of a family of privileged posteriors, goes to NHS hospitals for treatment.

Best solution of all would be to end commercial medical practice for everyone.  The best treatment should be a right, not a privilege.

  10. Baah.baah,baah,baah.

  11. Because they are the royal family and should be treated differently.

If you are a peasant you presumably don't live in the UK and don't qualify for NHS treatment.

  12. Yes they do obviously because of their blood line although there are some intresting facts

    1) the queen is the only person in the UK to drive without a driving liceisne even if its not valid

    2) The queen also has to pay taxes

  13. All rich people are able to pay for the extra care, just not royals. The rest of us deal with high insurance rates-that's just the way things are:money talks.

  14. If you are living here in UK then you do NOT have to pay for your medical services and care - you pay National Insurance and can go and see you doctor for free - FREE AT POINT OF NEED - CARE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

    God Save the Queen

  15. I'm a peasant. I'm not allowed to have an opinion about the royal family, except that they are what makes this country great.

  16. bc they are royals! and the government sucks like that

  17. Because in the world we live in- the rich get richer and better opportunities.

? Why does gas have to be so much? Because of the oil people in congress!! THE RICH GET RICHER!

I'm still confused on our constitution. "We the people" but it seems it should say "We the government"!!

Why does America pay fully for a Japan student to come here and go to college but our people can't get any help??

  18. well really they dont the reason for them getting it quicker is simply they dont get it on the nhs they have it all done private so there are no waiting lists

  19. To the best of my knowledge not only the Royals as you put it but the Head of State and families of any country gets priority medical treatment in their country

  20. I know its not fair is it

and then eveyone says we are all equal

  21. Because we are not worthy ....Baa Baa Baa  . . . ..

  22. Oh, I am so weary trying to state the obvious:..

BLUE BLOOD transfusions  .. try having one of those!

  23. Heads of state, royal nor not and in any country, are going to get priority medical care. In the United States, if the president is injured, the ER is completely cleared out of mobile people before he arrives.
