  1. 'coz they wuz brung up bleedin' proper !

It's refreshing to see them dressed correctly as well

  2. same as in quite a lot of other sports, they refer to the player by surname.

    Rugby

    Football

    Cricket.

    etc..

I guess it makes it easier, incase you have loads of people with the same name.

  3. Well, its the same as every other sport. And like the other dude said, you'd end up with players with the same first names.

  4. And what if you have John Parrott and John Higgins playing..... and now it's john's turn, after john missed an easy black, but that's no worse than the pink John missed in the last frame...... and do football/rugby/cricket commentators use fornames?

  5. well there are players with the same first names so could be a bit awkward. John misses that easy red, so john now comes to the table, you get the drift.....

  6. it seems to be like that in MotoGP, F1, Football, cricket - in fact most sports. It's not just snooker.

  7. Its a gentlemans sport.also not many people have the same surname as forenames.

  8. If both players had the same first name it would be confusing, so by using their Surnames instead it is easy to see whose taking the shots.

    Hope this helps hun ;-)

  9. Remember your school days?  Didn't your teacher refer to you by your surname?
