  1. A longstanding tradition of segregation from Bantus probably contributes to a continuation of the process.

Time and education will slowly, but surely eradicate this practice.

  2. Because they speak seperate languages, have seperate cultures and have nothing in common except living side by side?

  3. any person  asking a question like this  has obviously never spent a lot of time around a lot of blacks.  i am talking years, in an area where blacks make up at least 50% of the population.

    you just dont know them.

yeah, it's probably one in your neighborhood,  and two in your church,  and one or two at work, and you went to school with 3,  and they are nice, and will smith is nice.  and that is your lifes exposure to blacks.

as i said above,  spend some quality time with the rest of them.  it will be an eye opening experience.

  4. People have a right to choose who they associate with. It is human nature to do so with people most like themselves.

You can't force change, but you can attempt to educate both groups with the hope they will see more similarities in the future than they do now.

Since you work with children that is where you can make the most progress.

  5. It is steeped in their society, they are learning and growing. Consider where they came from and how far they have come since even the late 70's.

Some people do as they are told or do as the custom, because they know no other way, show them by example, not by angry words.
