When we tender Debit Cards.I realise they only pay a nominal amount of 20p per transaction. Are they really trying to please us with customer service,or is their another reason concerning profit.

  1. no they have to I used to work at a check out while at uni, if we were mistary shopped we could be reported if we didnt.  just to make you aware as I said it has to be done so in truth if the person on check out doesn't as you can go to customer service and report them and say you wanted £50 cash back as is max and the supermarker has to give it to you, but dont tell any one I told you.  :)

  2. I think the store gets a kickback from the bank.

  3. Because they have to pay a percentage to the security companies who collect the cash and take it to the bank

By getting you to take a cash back they collect off your card and there is less cash to move bank and so less commission to pay
