I read Breaking Dawn a few weeks ago, and I am wondering why so many fans enjoyed Garrett's character so much. I do not have access to the book, and that is why I need your help to enlighten me :)

  1. I think people, who knows Garrett, like him so much because he seems very passionate. This shows in his speech directed to the witnesses. Also people might like how he restrained Kate - Tanya's sister- from electrocuting the Volturi by holding her,he kept on holing on to her even when she was electrocuting him with so much power that even brought Emmett was to his knees.

  2. He's nice, helpful, willing to try "vegetarianism" I guess

  3. I think people like him because he's a wanderer. He's rough, earthy, rugged, but most of all: he seems human. He seemed far more humanized than the others, he was cocky and happy, he wasn't stuck in time like the other vampires. He also had a lot of almost inadvertant character development when he was was interacting with Tanya's sister (testing her electic powers on himself with no qualms about the result); he's kind of like a little kid, living in the present, but he's also extremely intelligent and has a clear sense of right and wrong. Also, he was s**y ;D

  4. garrett's the nomad who ends up liking tanya's sister and decided to try and become vegetarian. people probably like him because he decided to become a good vampire is all

  5. whose garrett? ive read them all, there is no garrett

  6. I think whoever 'everyone' is likes him because he is like the grandpa. He watches and observes everyone. He stands up for everyone. And also is willing to be the stunt vampire for other vampires powers. He acted so brave and confident.

  7. wait...who is garett?

  8. Personally, I liked him because he seemed like the rebel vampire, roaming the Earth with few possessions looking for more passion in life (namely a mate). Garrett reminds me of Sawyer from Lost, I can't explain it but that's who I pictured him like.

  9. For those who don't know who Garrett is, he's a nomad that came to Forks to help witness for Nessie. He seems almost human, because he has olive skin, not bone white pale, and since he's a nomad, he's kinda earthy and rugged. He likes to observe people, just watching from a distance. He's quite jolly, a quality which I liked. I love happy-go-lucky people. :) But he really had an impact on me when he stood up to the Volturi to make that awesome speech about justice, Renesmee, etc. He was brave, braver than Alistair who left the Cullens in their hour of need. He didn't hesitate to speak up. He didn't care if the Volturi would incinerate him. Oh, let's not forget his romance with Kate, from the Denali clan! He even told her he'd follow Kate anywhere if they make it out alive from the Volturi, and he also said that he wants Kate to touch him, just so he will feel her electric current. (Kate's power is to send electric currents through touch.)

  10. ooooooohhhhhh...that garret!

He was cool the way he didnt really seemed like he cared if he got hurt that much.

  11. Readers like Garrett because he makes an awesome and very brave speech in front of all the Volturi and the other vampires about the legitimacy of the Volturi's claims about Renesmee. He stands up for what he believes - like a true patriot.

  12. because he has that sick speech! ive read that part like ten times! hes amazing!
